The Krishen Jit Fund
It’s time to put in your applications for the 2025 Krishen Jit Fund!
The Krishen Jit Fund is in its 20th year! We are amazed and extremely grateful for this longevity, thanks to our sponsors.
The Krishen Jit Fund was created to encourage and support experimental, creative work in Malaysia. One of the main objectives of theatre director Krishen Jit’s pioneering work was to celebrate original Malaysian art, across a range of disciplines, and to pursue innovative modes of expression and intervention.
The Krishen Jit Fund is delighted to continue supporting the essential work of arts and cultural practitioners in Malaysia. In this very troubled world, we know that artists will find ways to make exciting, potent, and thought-provoking art.
The Krishen Jit Fund has supported 95 recipients and projects over the past 19 cycles. The Fund gives out grants ranging from RM1,000 to RM20,000 for:
- Workshops
