Walls

Beliefs. Boundaries. Politics. What remains when you are the last person on Earth?

A woman wakes up in Janda Baik to find an invisible wall isolating her from the world. With only few animals for company, she tries to create a new landscape from what’s left of the old world. Based on the 1963 novel, The Wall by Austrian writer Marlene Haushofer,  Walls is  a study of alienation and identity in modern Malaysia, where one’s own personal space is being constricted everyday by moral guardians and political forces.
