For better or worse, all arts are influenced by politics, but is there room for the arts in the political arena? What should be the relationship between the arts and politics? Is there common ground between artists and politicians – to what end?
This public conversation addressed these questions with a panel comprising writer-researcher Ann Lee, former Arts Nominated Member of Parliament and Drama Box (Singapore) artistic director Kok Heng Leun, and theatre practitioner Omar Ali from Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, drawing from their own works and experiences.
