Family is a performance about women.

We see them bear the responsibility of their families in the absence of their husbands. We feel them take control and manage their affairs with courage and effectiveness. They stand together even as they stand against each other. They rule supreme even as they crumble under the pressure of coping. They bring up their children, living their dreams through them. But they are time and again disappointed by ingratitude and indifference. Will they be eventually rewarded for their untiring efforts or simply allowed to fade into oblivion?
