The performance text for Cakap Dapur: R&D Stories was developed by Leow Puay Tin using material from a workshop on research and documentation for artists conducted by Professor Dr Mohd Anis Md Nor.
It is a collection of stories, musings and fragments of a lecture, presented as 25 text modules of various sizes. Directed and performed by Chee Sek Thim, these modules take the audience through a range of themes - from the very personal to wider issues of history, culture, identity, self, and nation, while also introducing some concepts on creating performance.
