Asian Youths Artmall

The Asian Youth Artsmall (AYA) was initiated by Five Arts Centre in 2004 with the aim of bringing together youth in Asia who are arts practitioners involved in process oriented and issue based arts practice among local youth.

70 selected groups and individuals from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Philippines, Singapore, Pakistan, Mongolia and Vietnam were invited to a 10-day Exchange Workshop, held in Kuala Lumpur. It sought to identify and network among practitioners who are engaged in working in a range of contexts, using diverse forms of art media. It aimed to create collaboration and exchange among self-reflective practitioners in Asia using the arena of the arts as a common point of interaction and relationship building.
