Are You Game, Sau(dara)?

Are You Game, Sau(dara)?

In 1988, Leow Puay Tin’s groundbreaking play Three Children was staged in a landmark collaboration between Krishen Jit, co-founder of Five Arts Centre, and Ong Keng Sen, artistic director of TheatreWorks (Singapore).

Over three decades later, Centre 42 in Singapore and Five Arts Centre in Kuala Lumpur come together to present Are You Game, Sau(dara)?, a double-bill of new works inspired by Puay Tin’s original play. Malaysian theatre practitioner Fasyali Fadzly engages with childhood games and identities in the audience interactive Are You Game?, while in Sau(dara), Singapore theatre group Bhumi Collective explore memories, relationships, and youth in a performance combining text, dance, and music.
