Studio Renovations 2012 a success!
Five Arts Centre and Dramalab have been occupying the space at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail since 1998. Since then, the space has become an important rehearsal space and meeting point for many of our projects and activities. The use of this space has also been extended to other artists and groups for their rehearsals. Despite its heavy usage, the space has not had any major upgrade over the years.
We had hoped to convert the studio into a small blackbox that would double up as a rehearsal space and an intimate performance space as well. This plan included replacing the wooden flooring.
After much discussion amongst our members we decided on a whitebox instead of a blackbox. The following is the result of our recent renovations:

Thanks to the quality of our brand new studio we're upping the rates very slightly. We hope that this is still a reasonable fare; the following is what our new changes are:
Studio rates: RM 40 per hour
0-30 hours: no discount
31-50 hours: 10% off total bill
51-90 hours: 15% off total bill
91-150 hours: 20% off total bill
more than 150 hours: 25%off total bill.
